One Journy Ends

Wow, so tomorrow is Nates last official day of school~ and not just school but elementary school. Next year he will be the small fish in a big pond of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders~ Yikes. Thanks to sports and least he will know a lot of other boys~ thank god some are in 7th grade~ hopefully they will keep an eye out for him!!!!

So this week has been a very busy week. Tuesday he graduated from the Dare program~ lets hope what he learned there will stick! A mom can only hope and help guide.

Along with graduating from the DARE , the 5th graders had a grad party at school on Wednesday. Parents were not allowed so
I volunteered~ the only way I could be there~ plus I was pressured
by a PTA mom to help out. The kids sure seemed to be having a lot
of fun~ they had a dj that actually played the kind of music they wanted
to hear. The kids got pizza, pop, cookies, chips, candy~ what more could they ask for? well they got to play games and win prizes~ Pretty cool party if you ask me~ oh and they also got a T-shirt that says something about 5th grade graduation~ I pretty much did my own thing and gave Nate his space~ He had fun until I had to yank him out to get to his baseball game~ They won 11-2. His team is now 8-1~ pretty darn good record!!!!

Well Monday a new adventure starts~ he is in a summer program that I think will be good for him. I also think he will have a lot of fun~ he will be with kids in 6th- 8th grade~ a nice change of pace from daycare. I will have to let you know how it goes.
